Renal biopsy is a medical procedure in which a small piece of kidney is removed from the body for examination, usually under a microscope. Microscopic examination of the tissue can provide information needed to diagnose, monitor or treat problems of the kidney. The procedure of renal biopsy will be performed by our Nephrologist under full USG-guidance. Renal biopsy of both children and adults will be performed.

Percutaneous peritoneal dialysis catheter placement can be performed under local or general anesthesia with prophylactic antibiotics. A small incision is made above the entrance site, usually in the midline with blunt dissection of the abdominal rectus sheath. An 18-gauge needle is placed into the peritoneal cavity.
